Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari has donated Personal Protective Equipments worth sixty-seven (67) million naira to Sao Tome and Principe follow a request by the government of the recipient country, in other to help them effectively combat the coronavirus pandemic.
This development was disclosed by Boss Mustapha, the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, during a briefing by the PTF in Abuja. During the briefing, the Chairman said,
“I am happy to inform you that as ECOWAS champion in the containment of COVID-19 in the West African sub-region, Mr President Made a donation of 67 million naira worth of PPEs and medical supplies to the government and people of Sao Tome and Principe,”
Without any actual number specified, the equipment donated includes units of test kits, extraction kits, infrared thermometers, and other items of PPE to treat and test many.
