Fati Ibrahim Attahiru holds a bachelor's degree in business economics from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. She later obtained an M.Sc. in Information Technology from Cranfield University, UK. She further received a master's degree in Development Studies, University of Sussex, where she specializes in power, participation and social change.
Mrs Fati Ibrahim Attahiru is a development practitioner with over 20 years of experience designing and building solutions that have transformed the lives of people around her. She was once a chairperson of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association 82 Division Nigerian Army. While at the 82 Division, she has established a fully-fledged solar-powered ICT Center for the barrack's youth, she also came up with an initiative called Barrack Investment Initiative Program (BIIP).

Mrs Fati Ibrahim Attahiru was handed over the mantle of leadership of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA) on 3rd February 2021 by the past National President of the Association, Mrs Umma-Kulsum Tukur Buratai.

She is now the current National President of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA). The association is a non-governmental organization which caters for the welfare of the wives of the Army Officers in Nigeria.
