Newly signed Chelsea defender returns back to action for the blues after long-term injury

Xavier Mbuyamba was among the players Chelsea signed last season. He was signed from Barcelona despite having a serious injury. He has not yet featured for the blues since he got signed, his was closer to getting back to action but had another operation in january which kept him out of action again.

This defenfer is now fit and is seen in Chelsea U23 lineup to face Southampton U23, he is fully fit but will first start as a substitute. Malaang Sarr is another defender Chelsea signef but from OG Nice. He plays for FC Porto currently.

The blues really have the eye of grooming young talents and that made them to sign Mbuyamba from Barcelona youth team at the age of 17.

Just like Mbuyamba, Chelsea signed Billy Gilmour from Rangers FC at a very young age and he is now making it to the top if not for Chelsea's full squad.

Mbuyamba is finally back to play for Chelsea U23 once again, if he impresses well, Thomas Tuchel could promote him to the first team where he will play alongside Rudiger,Zouma and Azplicueta. Xavier Mbuyamba is very tall and will fit into Tuchel's plans in the future if he impresses well.
