In the competition for the services of outstanding midfielder Ayanda Patosi, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates might come up short. The skilled footballer, who was born in Khayelitsha and has spent the last two and a half years playing for Foolad FC in Iran, is about to have his contract with the organization expire.
While the Soweto giants are thought to not have finished bolstering their respective squads with the new signings for next season, Chiefs and Pirates may miss out on Patosi as the player weighs his options. The Bafana Bafana international has been linked with both clubs since January.
As previously reported by the Foolad, the 29-year-old has drawn interest from a few other clubs abroad and Foolad is eager to grant him a new contract to the siya crew .
Patosi has been observed at his old team Cape Town City, who are eager to have him back as they prepare for the CAF Champions League.
