Things Solskjaer Said After The Manchester United Defeat To Leicester City

Manchester United bad run of form continues, as Leicester City ended their 29 games unbeaten away run at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, with a 4–2 scoreline victory.

The Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men took the lead in the game, with an early strike from Mason Greenwood, but Leicester City leveled the scoreline with a goal from Youri Tielemans, and took the lead in the second half.

United thought they could salvage a draw in the game, with a Marcus Rashford strike to make the scoreline 2–2, but a late drama saw Leicester City score two goals late into the game to win by a 4–2 scoreline.

The United manager will be disappointed with this result, as pressure is now mounting on him to deliver good results for the team.

United are now winless in their last three Premier League games, and are set to face Liverpool, Tottenham, and Manchester City in their next three games.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made some comments after the defeat to Leicester City in his post match interview.

He stated his disappointment with the team conceding four goals in the game, the way the goals were conceded and the timing of the goals.

He further stated that "the team didn't do enough on the things that could earn them the right to win the game, as they didn't run, block and tackle enough in the game.

Solskjaer said, " United were poor with and without the ball", he took responsibility for starting Harry Maguire who was not 100% fit, stating that " it was his decision to start the 26 years old, as he worked hard in rehab and looked ready to play before the game".

He added that " Manchester United didn't deserve to get a point from the game, despite taking the lead in the game with Mason Greenwood early goal, and they gave away a goal, which Leicester City equalise with, the second goal was through a set-play they should have done better with, while the third goal was just ten seconds after Manchester United equalised to make the scoreline 2–2, which shouldn't have happened, and the fourth goal was rough a set–play again".

Manchester United now need a round of winning run to get back on track, or Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's job could be on the line.
