Following the execution of Ibrahim Mohammed alias Kaaka, the other two, Abdul Nasir Yussif and Murtala Mohammed, were killed by troops who fired rounds into a mob of protesters.
The Vice President's entourage, which included National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah, Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei-Mensah, and National Chief Imam Sheikh Usman Nuhu Sharubutu, visited the martyrs' relatives as well as the hospitalized.
Vice President Bawumia presented each of the lost families GH20,000 cedis, as well as GH10,000 cedis to each of the injured.
Minister Simon Osei Mensah, who addressed on behalf of the Vice President at the bereaved families' home, expressed condolences to the families who lost loved ones and guaranteed them that the government will probe the events that resulted in the death of their loved ones and act swiftly.
Afterward, at the Ejura Central Mosque, Dr. Bawumia and the National Chief Imam joined the Islamic population to recite Jummah.
