Nigerian-born striker and Dutch professional footballer, Arnaut Danjuma was in action yesterday for Villarreal in their first game of the new UEFA Champions League season against Atalanta at the Estadio de la Ceramica.

The 24 years old dazzler who joined the Spanish La Liga Santander giant this summer transfer started the game from the bench due to tactical reason but was introduced in the 61st minutes for Boulaye Dia, and he was able to impress yet again.

The former AFC Bournemouth star was superb as he continues his brilliant run of form since joining the Yellow submarines by netting a crucial goal which was instrumental in earning a point in the show of the night.

The first half of the game was such a balanced one between the two sides as there was nothing separating them going into the half time break which ended one all draw.

Remo Freuler put the visitor ahead in the 6th minutes to make it one nil before Manuel Trigueros got levelled for the Unai Emery's side in the 39th minutes to make it 1-1 at the break.

The second half of the game was more intensed as they both displayed some dazzling skills but none was able to found the back of the net until the 73rd minutes when Arnaut Danjuma gave his side the lead to make it two goals to one, before Robin Gosens made it 2-2 in the 83rd minutes.

After several attempts from both ends to add more to the tally of the night, all were not successful as it ended two all draw at full time.

Villarreal with the result of the night now currently sit at the 3rd spot on the table with 1 point in 1 game played and as such be hoping to be back to winning ways in their next fixture, so as to continue their pursuit in the competition.
