The Matungu parliamentary by-election campaigns were concluded yesterday leaving the political parties involved to meet up with IEBC as they wait for the D-Day come 4th Thursday.
Interestingly some events have played out as put across by Kakamega senator Cleophas Malala who has put ODM party on notice for trying to rig the Matungu by-election. Malala while speaking today at noon told the news agencies present that ODM was distributing special and unique masks to the residents that would help them identify themselves.
Malala went on to tell Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya to desist from holding meetings with IEBC officials at night. He said Oparanya was spotted at the wee hours of the night in Kakamega county in a popular hotel holding the purported meeting.
Matungu constituency has been a bee-hive of political giants who are eager to get the seat and stamp their foot in western region politically. The race in Matungu has attracted ODM, ANC and UDA parties.
